SproutAI (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
02Information we collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. This is stored securely via Supabase, our authentication provider.
Plant Data: Photos you take of your plants, AI-generated health assessments, watering logs, plant profiles, and earned badges are stored on your device using SQLite and are also synced to your private account in our cloud database, hosted by Supabase. Health check photos are uploaded to our cloud storage and linked to the health check they belong to.
Usage Data: We do not collect analytics or usage tracking data.
03How we use your information
Your email and name are used solely for account authentication and personalisation within the app.
Plant photos are analysed by SproutAI’s own personalised AI engine for plant identification and health analysis. Running that engine transmits your photo to third-party AI infrastructure providers who process it on our behalf. We do not use your photos to train AI models. Those providers handle the photos we transmit under their own privacy terms.
Notification preferences are stored locally on your device.

AI infrastructure providers: SproutAI’s personalised AI engine runs on third-party AI infrastructure that receives your plant photos for identification and health analysis. For the current list of these providers and links to their privacy policies, email support@sproutai.life.
05Data storage
Plant profiles, health checks, watering logs, alerts, and badges are stored on your device in SQLite and in our cloud database under your account. Plant photos are stored in secure cloud storage and used solely for plant identification and health analysis. Database records are protected by row-level security, so only your signed-in account can read the rows tied to your user ID.
06Data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the app’s Settings screen. Deleting your account removes your plants, health checks, alerts, watering logs, testimonials, and badges from our database, deletes every photo you uploaded from our cloud storage, and deletes your authentication record. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by emailing support@sproutai.life.
07Children's privacy
SproutAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
